While living in Maui, falling in love with the Island and working on several real estate projects, Mr. Amezcua experienced the challenges and the rewards of transforming tired homes into incredibly desirable contemporary estates. He also saw the start of the remote worker migration to Maui and recognized a big opportunity. Having experienced a similar shift in the market in Farmington New Mexico on his Four Season’s Estate project in 2000, he knew, unlike Farmington, where urban sprawl was rampant, Maui and the Hawaiian Island land was finite, which insured consistent appreciation. He also understood that in Hawaii, non-local real estate investors/developers face big challenges in both governmental processes as well as labor and materials. Mr. Amezcua having the Hawaii construction background, knew he had a huge advantage over those that had never built on the Islands. Being one of a handful to embrace this new demand and having the Island connections and experience, he knew he had a strong position in this sector of the market. By focusing and catering to this high-net-worth clientele’s newfound desire for the Islands, he felt confident competition would be weak and profits high, creating an excellent business opportunity.
At this time, several real estate opportunities are being presented to Mr. Amezcua and those properties that fit the profile of the remote worker high-net-worth homeowner will be evaluated and considered.
